The traditional Taverner espardenya is a cultural icon. The Taverner, a traditional Catalan espardenya, has a padded insole for added comfort. The Taverner is a style designed for everyday wear, suitable for both men and women, and is worn by many cultural groups in Catalonia. Made in our Barcelona workshop from high-quality natural materials, it is a fine example of Catalan craftsmanship. This espardenya embodies tradition; this particular pair is on display at the MET MUSEUM as a traditional espardenya from La Manual Alpargatera, where it has been since 1954.
